Hong Kong
Against competition from many leading architects in South East Asia, Llewelyn Davies was appointed to design Cathay Pacific Airways' headquarters complex at Hong Kong's new airport at Chek Lap Kok. The new building plays a key role in the airline's strategy to bring together all departments under one roof in an efficient and attractive working environment.

Llewelyn Davies was involved in the formulation of the brief, site selection, facility planning, as well as detailed architectural, interior design and landscape services. The total floor area exceeds 93,400m², comprising 61,400m² of offices, a crew processing centre, a 500-room staff hotel, leisure centre, workshops and stores, organised around an internal street containing a food court, retail units and other staff facilities. The comprehensive nature of the project makes it one of the largest corporate headquarters in Asia.
